Welcome to Nature Deprived Blog

What is it to truly love nature? How can you explain the love you have for nature? Does being in the middle of nowhere fulfill you? Why? Are we too technically bounded to electronics or stressed at work from pressure about KPI’s or sales numbers? Nature allows us to be present. In the moment. Unattach from the pressures of society. For me personally, I connect with nature from my core. In my middle age, I prefer to be alone. Having a social circle is not important to me. Is that bad to say? I like to be a loner. Is that bad to say? I just want to be me and me is to be one with nature. During a talk with one of my closest friends, I came upon a self discovery, home. Where is home for you? Not always it is where you were born or where you grew up. Not always is it where you are living now. I was born and raised in Long Beach, California. Then moved to Northern Idaho for my high school/college years, then off to NYC for the past 14 years. Where is home? Two years ago I attempted to make the move back to my “homeland” of California from NYC, but did not feel the connection of home even though I was born there. Was I already too late? Now NYC felt more like home….so where do I go from here. The dis-attachment baffled me.  Long story short, I moved back to the east coast and that is where I sit today as I write this. Recently I took a trip to Israel. Lucky for me I married an Israeli, so I can travel there frequently. Israel is the most beautiful country hands down. It is so small and relatively new country, there is so much to see and to explore. So much history! One of the top sites on my list was the Dead Sea. I have been to Israel a few times before, but I never went to the Dead Sea. This last trip, it was a must. I spent 3 days at the Dead Sea and let me tell you, it is a time I will never forget. This was my home. But how could that be? I was not born there, I have never even been there. How could a place feel like home so much in 72 hours. How is that even possible. I will tell you why. The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth. For someone like me who is deeply rooted with nature and I consider my self to be a spiritual person, I felt the strongest connection here. Like this was where I belong. Like I was home.
I watched the sunrise over Jordan while floating in the water. The stillness of the water and blush colors of the horizon was incredible, life changing. The water of the Dead Sea is like the smoothest oil on your skin. And you just float there, surrendering all your control to the sea. Amazing. All I wanted to do was just keep floating out into the empty vastness. My home. The Dead Sea is a unique and fascinating destination, known for its high salt content and the ability to float effortlessly on its surface. The Dead Sea is a unique and fascinating destination, known for its high salt content and the ability to float effortlessly on its surface. I recently had the opportunity to visit this natural wonder and it was truly a memorable experience. As I approached the Dead Sea, I was struck by the stunning landscape surrounding it. The sea is surrounded by rugged desert terrain, which creates a stark and beautiful contrast. I couldn’t wait to immerse myself in the mineral-rich waters and experience the famous buoyancy for myself. Once I arrived at the shore, I quickly changed into my swimsuit and made my way into the water. As soon as I entered the sea, I felt the incredible sensation of floating effortlessly on the surface. It was an otherworldly experience, and I spent hours simply relaxing and enjoying the sensation of weightlessness. In addition to the unique floating experience, I also took the opportunity to cover myself in the famous Dead Sea mud. This mineral-rich mud is known for its therapeutic properties and is said to be great for the skin. After covering myself from head to toe in the mud, I let it dry in the sun before rinsing it off in the sea. My skin felt incredibly smooth and rejuvenated afterwards. Overall, my trip to the Dead Sea was a truly unforgettable experience. From the surreal sensation of floating on the water to the rejuvenating effects of the mineral-rich mud, it was a truly unique and memorable destination. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind natural wonder. Taking a midnight dip in the sea was also a quite memorable. Under the stars, all alone, I walked into the Dead Sea. Floating on my back, I gazed upon the stars above me. I never wanted to forget this moment. I said out loud, ” I am floating in the dead sea in the night. Here I am.” I wanted to bottle this moment and keep it forever.  I did not want to leave this place. Home. So I have found the meaning of home. Moving around from coast to coast, not being fully content to where you are at the present moment, and feeling like something is missing are all indications that you are not 100% connected to where you are. But once you find it, it is so powerful and inspiring. You will find so much joy. You do not have to do anything to enjoy it, but just being in it will bring you a joyful state of being. I am so happy I found my home. Cannot wait to see you next year!
