About the creator of Nature Deprived

Rose Benshoshan is the creator of Nature Deprived. Since she was a young girl, she always loved nature.

“I grew up going camping, exploring Zion and Joshua Tree and felt a certain energy from the earth. Later on in my early 20’s I could actually feel the energy from a tree or the blowing of long grass. I had a relationship. A feeling.”

Living in the bustling metropolis of New York City, surrounded by towering skyscrapers and bustling streets, it’s easy to feel disconnected from nature. The constant noise of traffic, the never-ending stream of people, and the lack of green spaces can make it feel like I’m living in a concrete jungle.

As someone who has always had a deep connection to the outdoors and a love for nature, this urban environment can sometimes feel suffocating. I find myself yearning for the sight of trees, the sound of birds chirping, and the feeling of grass beneath my feet. The absence of these natural elements in my daily life has left me feeling a sense of deprivation and longing for the tranquility that nature provides.

In an effort to bridge this gap and bring a piece of nature into my city life, I decided to start a blog called “Nature Deprived”. Through this platform, I share my reflections on the beauty of the natural world, my experiences with nature, and ways to incorporate a touch of nature into urban living.

From sharing photos of my visits to nearby parks to writing about the benefits of spending time outdoors, my blog has become a sanctuary for me to reconnect with the natural world and share my passion with others who may be feeling similarly deprived of nature’s wonders.

Through “Nature Deprived”, I hope to inspire others living in urban environments to seek out moments of nature in their daily lives, whether it’s taking a walk in a local park, tending to a small indoor garden, or simply pausing to appreciate the beauty of a sunset. By nurturing this connection to nature, we can find solace, peace, and a renewed sense of wonder in the midst of the concrete jungle.

As I continue to navigate life in NYC, I am grateful for the opportunity to explore the intersection of urban living and nature through my blog. It serves as a reminder that even in the midst of the hustle and bustle, a little bit of nature can go a long way in nourishing the soul and bringing a sense of balance to our lives.

Rose’s goal of this website is to promote the positive effects of nature on our souls and provide information on camping, hiking, destinations, and more. Also, Rose has incorporated green products to help aid the NO PLASTIC movement. Just check out the “Green Products” page.

“I feel it is so important for us ALL to make the decision to cut out plastic in our daily lives. If I can contribute and stop 1 person from using plastic, I feel a sense of accomplishment. We all must take a stand now, tomorrow is too late.” Thank You for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy it.it..
